Forever 21 -- Progress

I am still working on the various pages for my Forever 21 page but I decided to blog about my progress so far so here it is:

Since my website isn't going to scroll and it's smaller then a normal website I am going to add things to my pages and have the prices point at the clothes like the above picture

After changing my mind so many times I finally finished up the re-make of the forever 21 website

New Ideas & Progress

Every time I go to the forever 21 website the pictures on the front change so I am going to stick with the pictures that they are now and go off the idea of "not so basic" changing it to "Be Original"

I have also changed my menu bar because the other one was way to plain.  That is all

Here is some more progress on remaking the forever 21 website.  I have added the menu bar which is honestly kind of boring but once I add some pictures you won't even notice. I intend on putting a search bar at the top right because it looks so boring over there.

4th Quarter Project

This is the website I have decided to remake for the 4th quarter project.

As you can see the forever 21 website is very simple but I am going to change up the background using colors such as yellow since that is the "forever 21 color" putting feint 21's in the background and also changing around the menu bar

Progress -- Slices

So far I am working on the individual sections of my website.  Here is a screen shot of the main page of my website & the slices:

When you save for web & devices then open in an html the buttons work, right now the home button, miracle & contact button all go to google because I am working on the pages.  Here is the beginning process of the miracle button.

 

How to Slice

Now that I was finally taught how to slice my image in photoshop, I figured I would share it with the rest of you.  First I'd like to personally thank Dom for helping Lia and I accomplish this goal.

Open your widget and slice whatever you want.

After slicing double click on your slice and then enter the information, after all the things you want to slice have been sliced just go to file and save for web and devices and then click preview.  All your slices will now work.

Finished Illusion Poster

This is my finished Illusion poster after it took me forever to find a font to use I finally found a tutorial that fit the theme of Illusion very well.

Obviously my Illusion poster is not done yet, I'm not sure what to use for the font because I don't want to use the standard "scary" chiller font.
